Aussie prays

Last night I was cuddling with Austin. We had a very wonderfully precious conversation. I can't even come close to remembering it all, At times it almost made me cry it was so touching. I wrote out what I can remember,but unfortunately I can really only remember this funny part.

Me: Austin have you prayed tonight?
A: Yes, Daddy prayed with me. But can I pray again?
Me: Of course, you can pray anytime.
A: Dear God- Please bless Mommy and Daddy, Ashley and Mason and Me and don't let any tornadoes come. In Jesus name Amen.
Me: Amen
A: Can I pray all the time?
Me: Absolutely! This is how we talk to God.
A: Dear God- Please don't let any tornadoes hit our house or our friends house in Jesus name Amen.
Me: Amen
A: Dear God- Please let all the bad people fall down a hill and break their leg. In Jesus name Amen.
Me: (trying to hold in the laughter)Well we probably shouldn't pray that.
A: But would God do that?
Me: Well Aussie, Does God love bad people?
A: (thinking about it)Yes.
Me: Well don't you think it is bad for us to wish something bad on someone else? Wouldn't that make us bad?
I tried to explain to him, God is good and doesn't want to hurt people. He loves everybody, he may just not like what they do sometimes.
A: Sometimes I'm not good
M: But most of the time you are good,and Mommy, Daddy and God all love you. We just don't like it when you are not good.

He thought about this a bit.
A: Can I say 10 more prayers.
Me: sure.
A: 1. Dear God, Please keep all of our friends safe- In Jesus name amen

2. Dear God, Please let us have good dreams- In Jesus name amen
3. Dear God, Please don't let there be any thunder storms- In Jesus name amen

Then Daddy comes in talks to us for a little bit. It was late and Austin said, "Did I say my 10 prayers."
I said, "Oh I think so, Goodnight."

Ashley--Bug Fighter

YAY! My computer is fixed, thanks to my hero, my husband!

I want to share with you this little video of Ashley as Bug Fighter. This is one of her made up super heros. It's not the best quality, but it's pretty funny.

I know that it is on here 2x. I'm trying to delete the first one. For some reason I'm not able to get back into my setup to remove it. (Maybe later-otherwise it will be there everytime you open up my blog)

Major Computer problems!!!!!

Hello friends!

I am have extremely WEIRD computer problems!!!!

I have something really cute I want to show you, but I can't unless I can get on Greg's laptop tonight.

Anyway, my weird computer problem is that EVERYTHING is upside down!!!!! I'm not kidding! It's kind of funny, but very frustrating because I can't really do anything! At least the keys are typing the right letters. The mouse is backward too. So if I move up it goes down. I ran a virus check on my computer and no viruses were detected, but what could this be?

Well I guess I won't be reading blogs or emails anytime soon. Just wanted you all to know what's going on in my world. Also, my Outlook Mail is EXTREMELY SLOW. That is the most frustrating thing about this problem. Ok. It's too hard to proof read this unless i get on my head so I hope there are no mistakes. I hope to update soon and get this fixed!

More scrapbook layouts

Cute kids if I do say so myself!

I got Ashley to wear her "stupid" shoes today.

I told her Aubrey (at church) has shoes just like them and she wears them. She just said, "I knooooow it."

I got to scrapbook at Dana's tonight. I got 3 layouts done and started on a mini album. Here is my monkey page:

Even though this Thanksgiving Layout looks really simple and was... I had a hard time with it because the picture was just too big. I felt I couldn't be creative.

And then I did this layout of Ashley at 6 months old in a hat box.

OH I forgot to tell you about the Scrapbook store. Michelle had asked where it was.

It's called Scrap'n Memories and you can look at the link to find out where they are located.

They have a refer a friend program. So if you go please tell them that I sent you. You will receive $5 toward your punch card and so will I. The punch card is done autimatically, so you don't have to carry a card around. pretty cool!

Now I was going to say I'm off to bed...but I just saw that my lil' brother just logged on, so I'm going to chat with him a little bit. Aren't computers a wonderful thing?

They are SUCH boys!

Today in the car Austin said, "Mom, Can I marry you?"
I said, "No, I'm already married to Daddy."
he said, "Can I marry you too."
I said, "No, you can only marry one person and it can not be your Mom or your sister or anyone in your family."
he said, "Is that disobeying God?"
I said, "hmmm...yes I guess that would be disobeying God."

Yesterday I went to a pajama luau. It was a lot of fun. But I didn't own any pjs. So after getting Greg's permission, I went in search for some pjs dragging the kids with me. OH MY! You know what? PJs are with other intimate apparel. Austin and Mason were grabbing bras left and right. Mason mainly grabbed with both hands squeezing the cups. Austin would bring them to me saying this is pretty for you or "Ooooh this is big breasts". Then in one of the stores it had a little maniquin. Mason was quite amused! "Hey Mom look a little bucky (our word for butt)" , as he grabs it with 2 hands and squeezes the cheeks. Where do they get this from? It's not like my husband is a player (slight inside joke.)
Oh anyway, I went to 8 stores and finally found some pretty pajamas right before going to my party.

Not much more to say...the kids woke up one at a time all night long. So I bed hopped to lie down with each of them last night. So I am t-i-r-e-d big time. So I think I'm going to go tuck myself in and get to sleep early.

Google Reader

I wrote this a couple of days ago...I just realised it didn't post.

I want to tell you all about Google Reader if you don't already know.

This is so cool. It is a way to keep up with all your friend's blogs without going to each of them all the time. Depending how many blogs you want to keep up with...it takes a little bit of time to set up. But once it is set up, it will tell you when your friend has updated their blog. It doesn't update immediately, but it does update pretty frequently.

So Michelle, were you wondering how I knew you did 2 posts in one day? I'm impressed that you are blogging...Way to go!

Anyway I have practically everyone I know's blog entered into this. It saves a lot of time!

Guilty!

Guilty! No not them....me!

I found some paper at the LSS that I really want. So I staged a picture so I can go get it.

What's really funny is the conversation that went along with this, it was quite opposite than the norm. It went something like this:

Me: Ok kids I normally don't let you do this, but I need your help. I need to get a few pictures. I need you to jump on my bed.
Mason: Jump on your bed? I think I'll just sit on the bed and you can take a picture.
Me: No really Mason, I need you to jump on the bed.
Kids: ok...(few minutes pass) can we go now?

Me: Just one more picture please. I need all 3 of you to be jumping.

decorations

I wanted to post last night, but my computer was SOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOW! It took me 1/2 hour to save 5 pictures and shut down the computer. UGH!

Anyway, the other night Mason was really into decorating. Then he enlisted Ashley to help too. She was really serious decorating that suitcase. And this is Mason's creation. I thought it was funny.

Then I tried to get "that classic" picture of the little girl praying. This one isn't too bad, but Ashley doesn't pray on her knees like that so it was hard to tell her what to do. I have 2 pictures of her peeking up to see the camera.

Yesterday, I took the kids to Goodwill to get Austin a new coat, since the zipper broke on his coat. Mason and Austin both found a coat they liked. Ashley found LOTS of things but she didn't find anything that actually fit her that she liked. I found a like new light purple coat that would be beautiful on her, but the lil' stinker didn't like it.

I ended up spending $25. I got 2 coats, a remote control Barbie jeep, yarn, sweater for Ashley, sweater for Austin, 2 Bob the Builder videos, 2 Thomas videos, Oliver & Company video, New Incredibles color and wipe-off coloring books, an outfit for Barbie and a little package of jungle animals. Not too bad for all that stuff! Mason loves his coat! He picked it out and calls it "Joseph's Coat". It took me a minute to figure out which Joseph he was talking about. I thought maybe there was a Joseph in his class. But the coat has 4 colors on it, and he was saying it's Joseph's coat of many colors.

After Goodwill we met Dana and the boys at Christ Church playground. They all played hard and then we went to Chick-Fil-A to get our 99c meals.

I was supposed to go to a MNO at a friend's house, but by the time we did all that running around, all I wanted to do is go home. I'm sorry I missed it! But I just felt I didn't need to do anymore running around.

hodge podge

I need to get a lite brite. I've tried to stay away from them because of all the little peices. But now I have a good reason for wanting to get one. Mason and Austin do not hold a pencil the correct way. So I have heard that by using the Lite Brite they are forced to only use their thumb and pointer finger to put in the little pegs. They said it didn't take long at all for their child to hold the pencil the correct way.

We had a pretty good day today. I finally took down the Christmas tree (Hey it's still January!) I still need to put the ornaments away and take down the snowmen in the Kitchen.

Tomorrow- I'm scrapbooking with Dana after church. I need to scrapbook the Old Timey picture of Ashley. Speaking of scrapbooking I want to set up an area downstairs where I can scrapbook. I "think" my kids are old enough to leave my layouts alone now, if I tell them not to touch them. I'm anxious to set something up, but I'm not quite sure how. Hey Mom? Are you bringing the desk down in February? Yes I know it goes with Ashley's furniture, but I really don't think it will fit in her room and I would like to use it to scrapbook on. Where you ask? If I tell you, you might not bring it. LOL Ok- so I want to set it up in front of the window in the Living Room....I know I know...you're not supposed to have furniture in front of a window like that. But I have to see for myself. The kids pretty much stay out of that room and most of my scrapbook stuff is already there.

I just love it when Ashley and Austin fall asleep together. They are so cute. And they really don't play that long in bed...they actually fall asleep. I really like it because they never come into our room in the middle of the night when they are together.

Oh! ---While reading Jann and Jill's blogs I found out about Ali Edward's blog. She has a challenge on there to choose a word for the year. I'm going to take her challenge and try to scrapbook it or whatever else I need to do with it. My word for 2007 is Accomplish! It has helped me actually stay focused on getting things done around here. I've typed up the word in several different fonts and wrote out the definition and found other similar words from a thesaurus and even found a couple of quotes. But I'll have to wait to print them until I can get some more ink for my printer. Seeing it and thinking about it is a good reminder and gives me a good feeling when I accomplish something.

I feel like writing and writing and writing tonight....I don't know why. But I just don't have anything else to say. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a layout or two to share.

All grown up!

First of all.... Happy birthday to my little brother today! Today he turns 27! Even though we rarely talk to each other and he's miles and miles away in Bulgaria. I still think we are close in heart! I miss him and love him!

Me: Oh yeah?
Austin: yes

(Long Pause as all the grown up things are going through my head.)

Me: What kind of grown up things?
Austin: Like do the dishes.
Me: Oh OK! (phew!)

Remote Control

Austin said, "Mommy, I wish I had a remote control to control you. Then I could have you do anything I want you to do."

2007 layouts

I had a fabulous weekend. I'm not quite sure why- but Greg let me have the weekend "off". I didn't ask any questions, but was tickled pink to get out and scrapbook.



Saturday late afternoon I went to Doris' house to scrapbook. Jann came too. After a 'little' guidance with my first layout, I got into a groove. I learned a new trick. Well a long time ago Doris taught me about having a visual triangle on your layouts. Saturday night I learned that you can put as much junk as you want to in a pile and it will still be counted as 1. How exciting it has changed my scrapbooking for awhile. I just love my layouts I did of the old time photos!!!! I didn't wear a watch and Doris didn't have any clocks where I could see them and I ended up staying till 1:30AM. I was embarrassed I stayed so long, but for a girl who gets tired at 10ish I sure had a lot of energy.


So here are my 2007 (all but one) layouts so far:


This one was finally completed in 2007, but it was done in November 2006- so I'm not counting it as one of this years layouts. I'm happy with how it turned out. I hadn't done a layout about myself and I felt kind of weird about doing one. So what I did was create this. I left boxes where my friends could write something they knew or loved about me.



On January 1st- I went to Scrappin' Memories and did these 2 layouts and started on another that I didn't get finished.:

Then on January 5th I did these 2 but revisited them and made them much better the other night.

I did 3 layouts at Doris'. The one above of Mason and these 2:

Then on Sunday after church Jann, Dana and I met at Scrappin' Memories and I did this layout, which I think is my favorite.

Like I said, I don't know how I got away with Saturday and Sunday, but I sure had the best time! Even when I got home on Sunday I got to watch TV....Oh what a luxury! I watched the Apprentice. I really like it.

I've pulled out my hair

Yesterday the kids were playing with hangers. They were pretending to lock the doors with them all over the house. Ok so that is no big deal. But when they were all peacefully sleeping in their beds last night I found where they GOT those hangers. They went in my closet and took down all of MY clothes. That was just the beginning for my day today. I am trying very hard to organize my Christmas stuff as I put it away. I’m trying to purge things we don’t use and put things in their original boxes. Every little thing that I did last night was taken apart or out of the boxes that I already packed. Not just right there, but strewn all over the house!

Every time I came upstairs 2 of my kids went downstairs, every time I went back downstairs the same 2 came upstairs ALL DAY LONG! I spent all day 2 days ago getting the play room cleaned. They continue to REALLY mess it up. I made them clean it up yesterday, but today it’s even worse. While I was downstairs, Mason and Ashley were playing/ cleaning the tub upstairs. While I was upstairs they were trying to wash the dishes with the sprayer. They wanted to make a “result” as they put it, or experiment with water, raisins and peanuts and drank it. The cushions are off of the couch, the remote controls are never in the Family room, they jump from the play house onto the cushions. After I just picked up the Play Doh that I somehow got them to only play on the table, they got it back out and got it over the entire Kitchen floor. Now Austin wasn’t an angel all day either. He stuck right by me…RIGHT by me (on my lap, on my head, hanging from my leg…etc.) And as I write this he keeps saying over and over, “Let’s go downstairs Mom…come on just let’s go…….this is taking too long…..”

And Greg is not coming home until LATE tonight. I’ve had it! I've pulled out all of my hair and now it's growing in gray.

ARG!

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! If it's not one thing it's another! How old are these kids? Why do I feel like the Old woman who lived in a shoe?

Austin's Prayer

My sweet boy, Austin just came in and asked me if I could pray with him again. I said, "sure, Are you going to say the prayer?" He doesn't usually say prayers. He does every once in a long time so I knew this was important.

He prayed in his VERY quiet voice:

Dear God....don't let there be anymore tornados in Tennessee. In Jesus name Amen.

Then he looks up at me and says, "Do you think God heard me?"

I said, "Yes"

Then he said, "Did He hear your prayer too?"

I said, "Yes He always hears our prayers."

I wanted to cry it was so sweet and sincere

Then he went back and got in bed.

And that is the most notable thing that has happened today, I don't think I need to say anything else.

Shawl, playground and sick

I need to make this a quick update so I can get to bed.

I finished my shaw. I've already had 5 good comments on it. One lady came up and asked me all about it. She tried it on and looked in a mirror and then decided she could make one too.

But my favorite comment came yesterday, when Ashley said, "Oh Mommy will you make me one just like yours and a hat too?" Well of course! I thought I was finished knitting for awhile but I got straight to it and finished it this morning.

I had a hard time taking a picture of myself.

Today we went to Scrapin' Memories a new store in Nashville. It's a cute store. I showed Dana where it was. They have a train table in the back of the store and the kids played wonderfully together until I told them it was time to go. On the way there I told the kids we were going to be stopping there before going to Christ Church to play. Ashley put her two fingers close together and said you can have this much time. I rolled my eyes and said, "Oh thank you Ashley for giving me THAT much time." When it was time to go she said, "Aw...we hardly got to be here that long at all." LOL.

But on our way out the kids went wild and started running in the store. I got on to them and Braxton said, "But Miss Chelle we were only playing tag." And Austin said, "We were just getting exercise and exercise is good isn't it?." I said, "Yes, exercise IS good but NOT in the scrapbook store." Anyway, it's been a really long time since they had seen their friends. They were SO excited. We took them to the indoor playground at Christ Church and they had a blast. Ashley got stuck at the top and I had to climb all the way up there to get her. I came down the slide head first and that slide was long and fast. Dana sure got a giggle out of that! Then Mason got stuck and I said, "Hey Dana I think it's your turn." So she went up and helped him. This playground is so cool. It is really nice on the outside, but the inside is just as nice so it was neat to see even though I don't want to crawl up there again.

Then the bad news... Austin got sick tonight. He has 101 degree fever and he threw up all over him and me. Which brings me to my point of needing to update quickly. I need to get to bed, just incase he keeps me up in the middle of the night. I didn't see this coming at all. They had such a great day!

Catchin' up!

So Where have I been? I started a new hobby and I haven't been on the computer much. I wanted to show you my completed project but I ran out of yarn and I need to go pick up some more at Michaels tomorrow to finish it up. And then I will show you what I've been up to.

Greg has been growing a beard. It's growing on me. I think it looks nice, but I still don't like the prickly kisses. He has decided to keep it for a little while.


On Saturday, it was a beautiful day so we took the kids to a nearby park to let them run in the field.

HA! All they wanted to do was play with some rocks and a drain.

Austin picked up this rock and said, "look it's Alabama".




Someone had a remote control airplane there and they enjoyed running and "trying" to catch it.



Then we went to church on Sunday. We have a new preacher. His name is Dean Barham (I think that's how it is spelled.) He is SO good! I look forward to hearing more of his sermons.


Unfortunately, our Sunday school class is falling apart. I really loved our class, but it is time for the teachers to move on and the attendance has been dwindling for awhile. So I guess we will need to find another class to go to.


After church we decided not to go out to eat lunch so that we could go out to eat near the end of the month. But for several days, the kids had been begging to get doughnuts. So we decided to spend $5 and take them to Krispy Kreme to get one doughnut and then we would go home and I would make a late lunch. Oh did they have a blast!

Austin ate his right away and kept begging the other two to give him a bite of theirs. They wouldn't and he got really mad.
Mason on the other hand, savored every bite.

Hopefully that will suffice them for awhile.

This is a precious conversation that Ashley had with Greg yesterday:

Ashley: Daddy, I love you a thousand.

Daddy: You love me a thousand?

Ashley: Is a thousand all the time?

Daddy: It's a long time, but not all the time. You could say "forever." That's all the time.

Ashley: I love you forever, Daddy.


Then this morning she woke up and told me she loves me forever. :)

Oh yes- Thank you Karley and Shaina for the shoes you sent Ashley. She just had to wear a pair on Sunday. Ashley told me that they matched her tights, so she could wear them. She is actually pretty good with matching her clothes. But I haven't really taught her anything about not wearing white after Labor Day.
(Actually, I didn't mind because her GORGEOUS shoes that I bought her she thinks they are stupid. So she would have worn big clunky black shoes that are too big for her.)

bummed

I'm bummed!

My favorite store is closing. It was the place I hung out and actually got some creative stuff done there. There's a big huge knot in my stomach.

I got to know the owners well and the "regulars". It was like our "Cheers", where everybody knows your name.

I've gotten calls from many of you. We need to still all get together somehow.

I haven't gotten a single thing done today. I've just been moping around. I decided to actually do something. It's 4:00Pm and I finally got the kids dressed. I was going to take them to Sam's Club , then "Monkey George" came on so they all went running to the TV. It's only half an hour so hopefully we will still get out of the house.

Things need to turn around so I can more successful.

So does anyone have any cool, exciting news to cheer me up?
