Family Fun!!!!

Thanksgiving morning we did what every family should have the pleasure of doing. We jumped in the leaves. Oh what fun! What fun!

Ashley started first. I love the progression of these photos.

She said she was making an Ashley Angel.

Then Mason jumped in the fun.

They attacked me and covered me with leaves. I was laughing so hard I had to cover my mouth so the leaves wouldn't get inside my mouth.

Then Aussie came out and joined in.

And then HA HA they all attacked Daddy! Arrrrrgh!!!!!!

And Daddy attacked back!

And then we had to brush off in the garage. It was nasty. We had leaves in our shirts, somehow down in our underwear. And poor Ashley-well just look at her hair. It took us a while to get all of that out. But it was a lot of FUN!!!

After we got a shower we went to the Huddleston's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Yum Yum Yum!

I made the ham and some more of those pilgrim hat desserts.

We played some card games. I don't get to play games very much and I so very much enjoy it. And then one of my favorite parts of the day, we get out the Black Friday ads and make our lists. We pass them around the table and it's so fun to hear everyone get so excited. I know several of them get up early and go together, but I go by myself. I have to admit I LOVE it! It's the only day I can really spend money and it gives me such a high!!!!

So I had a blast on Friday going from store to store. Today, Greg is taking the kids to Radnor Lake. I am going to get out all the presents and access what I have and what I still need to get, etc. (Well Phooey- Greg just called. Aussie is sick and they are coming home.

I'm getting in the Christmas spirit. Is anyone out there who likes to decorate want to come over and help me? I'm serious! It's so much more fun with a friend. I'll come over and help you too.

Smitten!

My little boy has a girlfriend. She is SMITTEN with him! A few weeks ago Aussie told me that Kadence said he was her boyfriend. I said, "Well how does that make you feel?" He said, "Kind of embarrassed." We got in the car and Mason and Ashley teased, "Aussie's got a girlfriend..."

The next week he came home saying, "Kadence kissed me." (ay ay ay) I said, well save your kisses on the lips for the person you marry. He said, "she kissed me on the cheek 3 times and I kissed her back." (oh boy) This time he admits to me he loves her too and she is his girlfriend.

This week he came home saying Kadence wants to marry me and I want to marry her. He said, "I wish we could get married now, but I know I have to wait until I'm older."

In class on Friday we made turkeys with our hand. This is Aussie's picture. All the others drew grass, clouds, sky, etc.

Then they were asked to write what they were thankful for. While all the other kids drew their families and homes and baby Jesus, Aussie and Kadence drew that they were thankful for each other.

Ashley was teasing Aussie again, and he just said, "Well yes it's true, she is my girlfriend but I don't want to be teased."

Oh this young love is so sweet! And Aussie's artwork is really good!

In need of food

I received this email today from church... (yes the need is needed by tomorrow, however I spoke to Joan and she said they could use them next week. Let me know if you can help.)

The Caring ministry has an urgent need- although we have already given away 600+ bags of groceries- we have been asked for more by a school that forgot to call and ask- their kids really need this- If you are coming to church tonight or can purchase groceries and bring them to the church building by 10am Thurs- please do so- even if you can't purchase all the items needed- we will put together bags for them with whatever shows up. Thanks in advance for your generosity and help.

If you forgot the menu- it is……
Bread mix , stuffing mix, large green beans, 2 cans corn, drink mix or juice, potato mix, 2 boxes mac and cheese, 1 box jello, 1 can of fruit, brownie or cake mix, and double paper bag-----please

I'm Psychic!

Last week Ashley got in the car and said, "Next time we need to dress up like Indians." Then she said, "Well we could dress up like something else, but I don't remember the name so I'll

be an Indian." I said, "So you could dress up like and Indian or a pilgrim, is pilgrim what you were trying to think of?" She looked at me strange and said, "HOW did YOU know that?"

I'm psychic. LOL!

So here are my cute Indians. Aussie was and Indian last year for Halloween so we had his costume already. So I whipped up 2 more costumes. And I literally mean whipped up! I made these out of scraps! I got Mason's pants too short, but if I didn't then I wouldn't have enough for Ashley's outfit. (By the way he had them pulled up really high in the picture of all 3 of them. They are not THAT short.) They are loosely put together, but I still think they are cute.

So I didn't think I had enough to do so I decided to make Ashley a tutu. I ran out of tulle so I have to go buy some more.

Beautiful Fall!

I just love the Fall! It's beautiful and crisp. I saw this tree at church yesterday and I wanted to get pictures of my kids (without their coats on) playing in the leaves. I didn't get very good shots. I didn't quite know where to stand to get a good picture and they were cold and hungry so I took a few pictures and we hurried back inside.

Yesterday was also Harvest day at church. It is a wonderful day when everyone brings a bag of groceries with a selected menu to church. These bags go to households who might not have food otherwise. We forgot our bag, so we went to Kroger and bought our food during 2nd service and came back for 3rd service. The kids helped pick the food and we prayed over the bag for the family who would get it.

I had the kids guess how many bags were given and were on stage. Ashley said 100, Mason said 1000 then changed it to a million. I can't remember what Aussie said, he didn't want to guess he just wanted to know. Oh I think he said 3000. So I asked the lady in charge of this mission how many bags we usually get. She said that they usually get 550-600 bags a year. But they needed 700. They are hoping that the money given yesterday will cover the cost to get the rest of the food.

Sunday happenings

Yes I know- I need to go to bed!

Today even though the kids have been feeling sick we took them to church because Greg was doing a skit in their class today and was using them as some of the actors. We let them come in to class but then we took them out right after the skit trying to keep them away from all the other kids. The doctor's office says they are not contagious, but Aussie had it first then Ashley and then Mason. I would say that it probably is contagious or at least was contagious. No fever just SICK out both ends. The doctor's office said this could go for 2 or 3 weeks. EEeeeek!

They did a fabulous job in acting though! We were so very proud of them. Aussie was Little boy David and he got his lines perfect! Ashley and Mason were Israelite kids. So adorable!

So then I actually found a Zaxby's nearby. There is one in Franklin. I was so excited that we went there after church. I was disappointed though! It was not nearly as good as I remembered it being. Anyway, these are pictures of what the kids made with their little waxy stix they got in their kids meal.

Now this creepy picture is very special. Aussie made these masks. I only helped them put the eye holes in the right place. I don't think they are supposed to be creepy. They call themselves the 3 foxes. I really like to see their creativity even if it looks a little creepy to me.

Good night- I've got lots to do tomorrow so I better go to bed.
